The Diane Von Furstenberg FW 2013 collection was inspired by ocean and forest themes. Fish scale print patterns are juxtaposed to fur trimmed pieces and dresses with small leaf and large leaf prints. The color palette ranges from blacks to florescent pink to gold and silver metallic to bright solid reds. Her formal black dress with leather accents took the collection to another level of sophistication, contrasted by her more casual winter wear. Several of the chiffon dresses, specifically the bright blue one show a signature pattern of her collection, which is of a large flower or leaf. Eclectic yet somehow integrated, the collection paid homage to classic design while other pieces pushed the envelope of color, materials, prints, and cuts.
