Quynh Paris showcased about thirty designs in her first ever runway fashion show in Vietnam. After showing in many different fashion events worldwide, this show brought her back to her roots. The event took place in Ho Chi Minh City at the Adore Premium Event Space. Many local and international celebrities and VIPs attended, including Jessica McClaine, Blanca Blanco, and Miss Diem Huong (Ms. Vietnam World 2010). On the stage, a rainforest (with actual rain) was juxtaposed to a wintry ice cave that welcomed the models as they entered the 30 meter long runway. This collection, called “Deja Vu”, references the first five material elements in Asian Element Theory. By mixing classical Asian materials with more modern Western components, it makes the collection cosmopolitan and globally referenced; Quynh’s choice of materials such as bamboo, coconut, lotus, and high-grade plastic … made the collection unique.
